FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers for procurement teams, partners and job seekers.

Is Datashiil a registered company?

Yes. Datashiil Consultancy Firm holds Commercial License No. T9NGB3P from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Federal Republic of Somalia and is a registered taxpayer with the Ministry of Finance. Copies of certificates are available on request for procurement.

Where in Somalia do you work?

We are headquartered in Mogadishu and work across the Federal Government and all Federal Member States, including field work in Banadir, South West, Hirshabelle, Jubaland and Galmudug. Remote and call-centre verification covers hard-to-reach districts.

Which languages do you work in?

Somali, English and Arabic. We produce bilingual (English/Somali) tools, training manuals and reports so results are owned locally.

Do you hand over source code and systems?

Yes. For systems such as the South West State EMIS we transferred complete source code, documentation and ownership to the ministry and trained staff to operate the system independently.

How do you protect personal data?

Informed consent, anonymisation, AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS in transit, role-based access and audit logging, plus child-safeguarding and Do No Harm protocols. We apply GDPR principles as international best practice.

How do I request a proposal?

Use the proposal form on our contact page, or email info@datashiil.com with your terms of reference. We tailor approach, timeline and budget to each assignment.

Can you deliver training only?

Yes. We run standalone training in data collection tools, MEAL, statistics, dashboards and EMIS for ministries, NGOs and field teams — we have trained 200+ enumerators across five Federal Member States.

How can I join Datashiil?

See our Careers page. Send your CV to info@datashiil.com or use the contact form and choose “Careers”. Enumerators and field monitors can join our field roster.
